— THE STORY —

When my brother got into the University of Illinois, my stepmom wanted to celebrate. But when we looked for something that honored stepparents… there was nothing. So a 13-year-old and her stepmom made it themselves, allowing for any "Mom" or "Dad" wearable to be transformed in a way that honors the entire family and the love that was chosen. We thought others would want one for the special stepparents in their lives, to let them cheer along in the same gear, but also to be recognized for the special role they play in our lives.

The pin is shaped like a staircase — the "step" in stepparent — and it spells out STEP · PARENT · PIN · CO. Two homes joined by a winding path, with flowers in bloom. Because being a stepparent is exactly that: ups and downs, step by step.
